Although I've been content with my Apple Watch Ultra for the past year, rumours of an Apple Watch X have given me optimism for a significant improvement in how the Apple Watch is set up.
According to rumours, the Apple Watch X will undergo a significant revamp, much like the iPhone X. In the same way as the iPhone X did in 2017, I've been pondering what it should bring.
I've been thinking about several features that have significantly changed how we have used our iPhones over the years, even if some rumours suggest it may be able to change colour like a chameleon to fit the clothing you are wearing.
When the iPhone originally came out, you would have to plug it into a computer after purchasing it from an Apple Store or a network provider. You might then proceed after iTunes verified and activated your new purchase.
When iOS 5 was released in 2011, Apple made a tweak that made it possible to activate your iPhone and connect to the network provider by only making sure a SIM card was inside. Users were spared a great deal of hassle thanks to Apple's 'PC Free' designation. Some users would occasionally be without access to a Mac or Windows PC, for example, so they would use their iPhone as a temporary paperweight until their iPhone was plugged in.
But now since the iPhone debuted in 2007, it feels like this capability has always been available, and the same logic should apply to Apple Watch

When you first purchase an Apple Watch, you are instructed to point your iPhone towards the watch face so that the device can start up.
Although it may seem impossible, there are Apple users who happily utilise other devices such as the iPad and Mac without owning an iPhone. They are unable to track their health and fitness with an Apple Watch.
However, even if they do have an iPhone, nobody can handle their Watch on an iPad or Mac. In order to track your fitness, you can't change watch faces or add widgets in iPadOS and macOS like you can in iOS.
Both groups of users feel like these were significant misses. So let's examine this adjustment for the Apple Watch X. Similar to how the AirPods function, when you first turn on the wearable, have it pair to your account when it's close to an Apple device.
By doing this, your Apple Watch X can detect adjacent objects and sets up similarly to before.
When the Watch app is ready to use, it then displays on your Mac, iPad, or both, and you can manage and customise it just like you can currently on your iPhone.
Given that the Apple Watch has always been an accessory for the iPhone, some people would argue that this removes a key component of the device. But I contend that's incorrect. It should be considered a buddy to you and the things you use on a daily basis.
Many of us spend a significant amount of time stationary when using iPads and Macs for business and leisure. Therefore, it would be quite helpful to be able to design fresh watch faces and alter various intricacies on these gadgets.
Additionally, this modification would allow new customers to immediately own an Apple Watch without having to worry about switching to an iPhone. If their only MacBook Air is an M1,
